Microsoft 365 Updates

All of the updates to the Microsoft 365 services can be found in your admin centre, but here is a summary of the important changes from the last week.

Microsoft Teams Yammer App

A new Yammer app is being rolled out for Microsoft teams, to bring a fully interactive Yammer experience into Teams. This will allow users to join community discussions, share announcements, attend live events, and connect with coworkers similar how they interact in the Yammer web or mobile apps. It’s Yammer, but inside Teams.

Microsoft Bookings

Microsoft Bookings will soon be rolled out as an app by default to E3 and E5 licenses.

Already available for the business tiers, this is a great app for managing customer bookings (want an initial appointment with us? Book it here!)

E3 and E5 license holders can get this today by buying a free add on called “Business Apps” – if you need advice on this, let us know and we will be happy to show you.

SharePoint Designer being deprecated

There is an ongoing issue with SharePoint designer affecting functionality. There is no fix for this issue, so Microsoft have disabled this feature with immediate effect.

If you have previously used SharePoint Designer to create custom forms, you will now be able to use PowerApps for this purpose.

Stock Images available in SharePoint

When authoring a page you will see a new option when adding an image – called Stock Images.

This will allow you access to thousands of high resolution stock images.
